I Will Meet you There…

In My Songs by nina

An improvised song which I have added on to in logic, a bit unfinished but full of heart, as usual with my songs! As I am learning to record and produce myself with limited gear and with limited time, please excuse the rough edges! Its just nice to share my journey sometimes….Knowing me, I will most likely remove it after a couple of days when my inner critic steps in, so have a listen while you can!

I first played a guitar piece in my new favourite tuning, DADGAD, then improvised vocals over the top and then added harmonies and some twinkly sounds on my love’s old JD800…

I was thinking about where we go when we die, an endless fascination and mystery for us all, I am sure… It mystifies me as to where we go when we lose control of our bodies, our consciousness…There is a sound, which I have briefly experienced a couple of times when fainting. Will death be similar to that feeling I had when I could no longer hold on, when my vision almost pixilated and I felt myself leaving into a blankness? The intense cicada -like ringing in my ears as I came to is what inspired the lyrics, “the endless void of sound”.

I always imagined my spirit soaring into the body of an eagle the moment I die…I read a lot of Carlos Castonaeda in my teens and twenties, which may have inspired that vision!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy…
